Congratulations to Professor Shuo-Yan Chou and his supervised student, Zakka Ugih Rizqi, for receiving the Best Presentation Award at Auto-ID Labs Asia 2023 in Busan, South Korea. The award-winning presentation, titled "Designing of Sustainable Carbon Tax: A Framework based on System Dynamics and Data Envelopment Analysis," showcased outstanding research contributions.

The conference drew participants from prestigious institutions, including the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), Seoul National University, Sejong University, Fudan University, Keio University, National Taiwan University, and our own campus, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST).

Motivated by the worsening condition of our planet due to global warming, this research introduces a framework that empowers policymakers to design, simulate, and optimize the carbon tax configuration. This proactive approach enables a comprehensive assessment of environmental, social, and economic aspects amidst uncertainty and dynamic complexity. The proposed framework holds significant potential for informing the development of sustainable policies, particularly in the context of carbon pricing applications aimed at achieving net-zero emissions.
