【Announcement】National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Scholarship for Elite Doctoral Students Application

Doctoral students who intend to apply for the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Scholarship for Elite Doctoral Students (2025 NSTC Outstanding Doctoral Student Research Scholarship Pilot Program (Quota-Based))

must submit the following documents to the department office no later than September 3, 2025 (Wednesday), 17:00:

  1. Master’s degree diploma (waived for direct-entry PhD students)
  2. Master’s thesis (waived for direct-entry PhD students)
  3. Recommendation letter from the advisor
  4. Doctoral research proposal
  5. Other supporting documents beneficial for review (e.g., past awards, publications)
  6. Application form (Attachment 4) and Declaration form (Attachment 5)

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled doctoral students. Students who are on leave of absence, reinstated, in-service programs, or from Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau are not eligible. Eligibility will be terminated if the student takes leave, withdraws, or graduates during the funding period.

Additional Notes:

  1. Applications will be handled in accordance with the 2025 National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Scholarship for Elite Doctoral Students and the 2025 NSTC Outstanding Doctoral Student Research Scholarship Pilot Program (Quota-Based) (Attachments 1 and 2).
  2. According to NSTC regulations, students who have already received the NSTC Doctoral Student Scholarship in 2024 or earlier are not eligible to apply for the 2025 NSTC Doctoral Student Research Scholarship.
